School Board positions are non-partisan. A qualified candidate must be a U. S. citizen, an Arkansas resident, live in the jurisdiction to be represented at time of filing and throughout term, be lawfully registered to vote, and must never have been convicted of embezzlement of public money, bribery, forgery, or other infamous crime.

The candidate must not be an employee of the school district. 

Any qualified person desiring to be a candidate for office in the Annual School Election to be held on Nov. 8, 2022 must file a Nominating Petition, Affidavit of Eligibility, Petition Affidavit, and Political Practice Pledge with the County Clerk during the filing period: August 3 at 12:00 noon until August 10, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Filing details and a copy of the candidacy petition can be found on the County Clerk's website.

 

To file, the Petition must contain signatures from not less than twenty (20) qualified electors of the zone in which the candidate files.
