Any qualified person desiring to be a candidate for office in the General Election to be held on November 8, 2022 must file a Nominating Petition, Affidavit of Eligibility, Petition Affidavit, and Political Practice Pledge with the County Clerk during the filing period: August 3 at 12:00 noon until August 10, 2020 at 12:00 noon. Details can be found on the County Clerk's website.

To file, the Petition must contain signatures from not less than twenty-five (25) qualified electors of the zone in which the candidate files. Additionally, the candidate will need to pay a $3 filing fee to the County Clerk's office.
